Rachel Doyle, MS, RD, LDN — Functional Gut Health Dietitian and Founder

Hi, I’m Rachel! I’m a gut health dietitian, foodie, and nature-lover. I started RAD Nutrition to help women find answers to their years of gut issues to finally start healing! If you’re struggling, I know exactly how you feel.

I became interested in pursuing a career in nutrition because I was fascinated by the power of food and wanted to help others, as well as understand my symptoms and heal my own gut.

I dealt with digestive issues for most of my adult life: loose stools and the urgency to go to the bathroom immediately. It made my morning commute to work and school extra stressful and sometimes embarrassing. In grad school, I was struggling with fatigue, headaches/migraines, painful periods, faintness/shakiness, eczema, loose stools — and all the anxiety that comes from dealing with those symptoms.

I saw a functional medicine doctor and was introduced to the root cause approach and functional lab testing. We discovered some nutritional deficiencies which helped get rid of my eczema and improve my energy levels. But I was still having irregular bowel movements. The game-changer for me was the GI-MAP test. This stool test allowed me to take a look at what was going on in my gut and use targeted supplements, nutrition, and lifestyle changes to correct imbalances and start feeling better.

The ability to heal myself got me even more interested in gut health and started me on the path to making gut health the focus of my practice. I knew I wanted to help people struggling with similar problems take charge of their health and feel great again!

Before I found functional gut health and the answers I now help my clients find, I spent much of my 20’s in the throes of diet culture and tried it all: 1200-calorie meal plans, over-exercising, Paleo, vegan, gluten-free, and elimination diets.Overall, those diets just stressed me out and ended up causing more harm than good. This is why I use personalized nutrition, functional lab testing, and a mindfulness approach in my practice.

My nutrition philosophy is a special blend of mindful eating and functional nutrition with a focus on supporting gut health. My goal is to help you optimize your health and get rid of your digestive symptoms without sacrificing the pleasure of enjoying and savoring your food and your life.
