Prior to working with Rachel I was struggling with painful bloating, irregularity, heartburn, general fatigue and a long list of other symptoms. 

My daily quality of life has drastically improved in all aspects. Physically I no longer suffer from any of the digestive issues I was struggling with before. No bloating, no irregularity, no heartburn, and a general improvement in overall fatigue. This in turn, has helped me so much emotionally as I am no longer worried about feeling poorly after eating or needing to be close to a bathroom for fear of stomach issues. I have so much more food freedom now that I am knowledgeable about what and how I eat can impact the way I feel. This has also helped me so much mentally-- I can feel an enormous improvement in my anxiety and depression that I was struggling with prior to this program. 

I no longer feel the need to eat "comfort food" the way I was before-- which would always end with fullness, overeating and painful bloating. I can enjoy these foods in moderation, especially with the knowledge that adding in fruits, vegetables and making minor changes to the meals leaves me feeling satisfied, happy and symptom free. This has led to overall increased energy throughout the day. Prior to this program I would have a daily afternoon crash, but don't any more now that my gut is healed. I always relied on food to comfort me when I was feeling anxious or depressed, but now I know that food is fuel and I feel so much better now that I am fueling my body with better tools and food to sustain me throughout the day.

I really enjoyed, and still refer to, the modules and educational handouts, as well as Rachel's notes in my protocol assignments. These really helped me to understand what sources of food I could use and made it easy to refer to them when making grocery lists, looking for foods high in fiber, potassium, magnesium, etc. all of which I was previously struggling with in my diet. 

I would 100% recommend this program to others. It was nice to feel supported but not pressured or looked down upon. Rachel was very honest and helped to make the program functional for me and my needs.

Before I started working with Rachel I felt slow and sluggish. My stomach was unpredictable. I didn't know when it was going to hit. I had rashes on my arms. I was tired and frustrated with my diet. I never really knew what was going to make my stomach react so I stayed away from most foods.  

In general I know what I need to eat in order to feel better. But I was not eating what I needed to. Rachel helped me find good nutrition.  

Since working with Rachel, I feel lighter in general. My diet is much better. My stomach issues are resolved, the rashes are gone and I feel like I have an overall better approach to what I eat. My energy level has increased. I eat more variety of foods and I understand what I need to fuel my body.

I was struggling with doctors and nutritionists telling me that my only hope was to be on an incredibly strict and restrictive diet for the rest of my life. I was dealing with chronic acid reflux that medication was barely even controlling.

I reached out to Rachel as she had posted specifically about helping clients with acid reflux problems- which I had a huge problem with (for over 10 years)! I had tried several suggestions and diets I found online and I had yet to find a solution that actually worked. Prior to meeting with Rachel I wasn't able to eat a lot of pretty simple foods, and knowing what would cause reflux was always a guessing game. It prevented me from enjoying a lot of amazing foods, and eating what I wanted to eat, when it was convenient. Since working with Rachel I can confidently say the difference is night and day. We've added a lot of mindful eating practices and work to consistently add more nutritious food to my diet, but above all, I have zero acid reflux! Rachel was incredibly helpful to me. First and foremost, I felt bloated after most meals, but was never sure why; it happened no matter what I ate. Subsequently, I'd limit my meals to only a small amount of food, concerned about the after effects. Rachel was able to get to the root of my issues with the G-Map Test, which provided an abundance of information on what was going on in my gut. It seems that I wasn't as healthy as I thought I was. Rachel recommended supplements during each of the 3 Phases I worked with her through. I felt better almost immediately. We "met" every 2-3 weeks, and each time was informative. One of the most important lessons I learned from Rachel was to eat slower at each meal, to actually put my fork down after each bite and to chew slowly and fully, and to eat sitting down! What a difference that has made for me - I actually enjoy/savor my meals now, and it's worth waking 10 minutes earlier to do so with breakfast. I've found that I'm satiated much longer than when I was scarfing-down my meals. I've also lost a few pounds, not my goal while working with Rachel, but a nice side-effect. My experience with Rachel has been excellent. Before I started working with her, I would get a bloated stomach once a week or so. I would also get abdominal pains that I had no idea where they were coming from. The pains were so bad I went to the hospital on more than one occasion and have seen several doctors, but never found them to be that helpful. Rachel worked with me to look at my diet and cut out certain foods that could be causing inflammation. She then recommended I do a gut health supplement protocol over a three month period. It’s been six months since we started working together and I have not had a stomach incident since. I also don’t get bloated like I used to. My husband and I needed help with meal planning because we eat the same foods but have opposite weight goals. Rachel put together an incredibly thorough meal plan and we were blown away by the results. I started working with Rachel because I wanted to optimize my health. I felt that traditional primary care physicians were only concerned with managing symptoms rather than determining root causes of health issues. In the past, I had to advocate with primary care doctors to get an iron test despite having potential symptoms (cold extremities, low energy, weak/brittle nails); then this test didn't even incorporate all components related to iron deficiency. Rachel did a comprehensive intake, discussing all areas of my health/life/etc. She took a collaborative approach, making sure we focused on what I felt was important. She told me about different testing she offers (GI MAP, DUTCH hormones test, micronutrients...) to see what interested me and explained how each test could be helpful. We decided to start with the GI MAP test. Rachel explained the results in practical terms while also providing a wealth of knowledge. I was so impressed with all the information available with these results, far beyond what you'd receive from primary care (for example: the results indicated which antibiotics I have a resistance to, and to what degree). Rachel started me on a protocol of supplements to work on improving my gut health. Rachel also provided a personalized meal plan - tailored to my preferences and complete with a grocery list. I reached out to Rachel because I noticed some changes in my body, specifically with my menstrual cycle and I couldn’t figure out what had caused them. I saw she offered a hormone testing lab, and I knew obtaining that information could help me. Rachel was fabulous to work with the whole way through. This was the first time I had taken a test like this. The hormone test was quite involved and could be difficult to navigate, but any questions I had throughout the whole process Rachel answered as well as providing tips on what would work best, since she had taken this particular lab before herself.
